I wanted to like this place but they just take to long to get back with you I put in a request for a quote took 7 days to finally get a text from a lady named Nash I received the text on a Monday I responded in the hour and again on Wednesday I didn’t receive a text back until Friday and when i finally got a response I’m expected to measure length and diameter of my locs so she could “make or order my extensions” lets be realistic for a moment there’s no way to actually measure specific locs accurately by myself and know how long there supposed to be. We’re sorry for the frustration. The nature of our work requires photos and specific context to provide accurate quotes, so we collect that information through our intake form before any phone calls. Our website is also designed to answer most common questions upfront. If we offered phone calls to the general public before intake, our phones would be ringing nonstop and we wouldn’t be able to serve clients well. Josie AOctober 13, 2025I booked a loc repair and maintenance appointment with Colby (the owner of Dreadlock Central). The initial communication was professional, and he quoted $320–$550 for 4–7 hours of work. However, during the appointment, Colby repeatedly complained about being tired, his hands hurting, and that we had gone over 7 hours. I was charged the full $550 — which was already the maximum quoted price — and afterward, he mentioned that he would charge extra in the future if a session went overtime. I’ve never heard of or been charged extra because a stylist took longer than expected to complete their own service. That was never mentioned in his original message or quote. It came across as unprofessional, especially for the owner of the company. The quality of work was okay, but the overall experience and attitude were disappointing. I won’t be booking again and just wanted to share my honest experience so others are aware before booking.

1. This was my first time meeting with you so I haven't worked with your hair before. I can make educated guess to what is entailed for your appointment, but cannot give exact estimates especially with this being your first appointment. You even said yourself that I went slightly over 7 hours and I still charged you within the range that I quoted you for. I don't understand how that's "unprofessional". Dreadlock Repair is unique to each person and these things sometimes take a considerable amount of time. 2. Stating that I was "Complaining about hands hurting" makes it sound like I was complaining about doing the work, which was not my intention, it was just part of our conversation and part of the process. And when you do this type of work every single day and have many clients to serve you have to protect your hands for the sake of longevity. It was nothing more than a statement within the context of our appointment together. 3. In your original quote I stated that your follow up appointments would be $150, and in your most recent text you asked about price again, and I said "root maintenance is almost always within 1-2 hours which is $150." So at no point did I ever charge you anymore than what I originally quoted you for, which you already agreed to by booking with me. Never once did I charge you more... 4. You referred to the possibility of going over the time and price estimate stating "That was never mentioned in his original message or quote." This is simply inaccurate. As a business wide standard we always send this disclaimer out with every single quote: "*It can be difficult to estimate time and price for first-time clients. Estimates may vary.*" This is in your original quote which I've sent you a screenshot highlighting this disclaimer. And once again, I still only charged you what I originally quoted you for. 5. I was right on time, but you were about 30 minutes late to your appointment and I didn't make a fuss about it at all. This is also why we ended up going slightly beyond 7 hours in the first place. 6. And finally, if you request more work beyond root maintenance I'm going to charge a higher price. It's that simple, any business would do that. And that's all I was expressing when saying the price may be higher if I'm taking more time to do more work. 7. I’m honestly not sure how you've taken a single part of your experience as being unprofessional. I delivered the service fully within the terms of the original quote which you agreed to, I didn't charge you extra even though we went over time because you were late, and I communicated everything very clearly along every step of the way. Our pricing is very transparent on our website, in our quotes, and everything is stated upfront before you agree to work with us. I do appreciate your feedback, but I’m genuinely surprised that you feel like any part of your experience was negative at all, but especially enough to leave a 1-star review.Posted on Google

Cole provided succinct instructions about how to prepare for her visit. I was especially impressed with the quick response to my initial request. I had an appointment within a week of completing the online assessment. Thanks to her guidance, I can use fewer hair products and make room in my bathroom closet.🥰

After a solid 5 hours of crochet, exchanging feedback, and great conversation, my locs are stronger and more in shape than I ever expected! Lori BSeptember 28, 2024Thanks to Cole, I finally have the hair I've dreamt of for so many years. Having thin fine hair I was very reluctant to trust someone to install locs on me. After some typical Google searching I found Dreadlock Central deciding to give them a go after much thought. I usually don't like having people in my space that I don't know but immediately upon meeting her I felt like I was welcoming a friend. Time flew as did her fingers, we talked about everything and nothing for hours as my locs were installed. I knew because of my hair length at the time of install that the locs would be short and wacky. Cole twisted them neatly into a woven pattern that was great until they calmed down. A couple months passed and she returned to perform maintenance. I really couldn't be happier with the result! As she said, my hair would grow faster than I would expect. I really can't say enough great things about Cole and the entire experience. I felt the entire process was so thorough and I really received excellent treatment. Thanks Cole, see you soon!

AbenaSeptember 19, 2024I started my loc journey with Cole in January. It's been amazing. I love my locs and I love the service provided by Dreadlock Central. I started with two strand twists from an African braiding salon back in September, but they weren't locking properly. Then i discovered the crochet method and Dreadlock Central. Cole is great, gets along with my furbaby 🐕 and knows when she arrives, we'll be watching 👀 a Disney movie 🎬 while she does my hair!!! Pics are a before and after from my very 1st session. The other pic is a simple barrel roll that Cole did at my last appointment.+1

After a frustrating initial attempt to loc my hair that left me feeling defeated, I reached out to her in a sort of desperation. From the very first interaction, Cole made the entire process feel easy and reassuring. Her intake process was seamless, and she communicated every step of the way, making sure I was comfortable and informed. I was amazed at how quickly she was able to fit me into her schedule. She had an inviting & kind spirit. Most of all she had the hands for my head. Before I did my locs with a lady from Trinidad in Brooklyn, NY and came out disappointed because they used the interlocking method a did come out as neat as I would like. And when I meet this team, they used a crochet method and that changed everything. I would like to give props to Colby for blunting my tips as perfectly as possible. Also Aly and Nash did great job doing the roots. I definitely recommend to give them a try ***** you won't regret it.

Zoe LAugust 30, 2021Colby the owner is extremely unprofessional. Carlee is a horrible dread stylist. 4 of my dread broke in half during my 2 years with her. She is never available. She cancels and moves appointments and than reports you as doing that so she no longer has to have you as a client. I would never recommend this conay they have bad energy and bad vibes. Bad work ethic and bad stylists. Worst dread company hand down. Don't buy the walmart of dread and be fooled by these phonies

Carlee and I talked about this situation extensively. What we're taking from this experience is for her to work on being as clear and precise as possible with her communication to reduce the likelihood of any type of misunderstandings in the future. However, here's the sequence of events as shown in the text feed between you and Carlee: - You booked an appointment before telling Carlee that you moved outside of our normal service area. Once you gave her your new address she had to reschedule you based on your new location. - The next appointment you didn't show up to. Therefore, Carlee charged you a down payment, which is our standard procedure for no-shows. Carlee followed up with you several times and didn't receive the down payment until several days later. Once she did receive the down payment, she booked you for her next available opening. - Then Carlee had a cancelation from another client and offered that day to you for August 26th at 10am, which you agreed to. The morning of the 26th she was already in her car and on her way to your location which is nearly 2 hours away from her place when you tried to change the appointment to Carlee's place at 11am instead. However, Carlee had an appointment immediately after you in Virginia which would've been on her route back to her place. We strive to book our routes efficiently. She already had an appointment after you so she couldn't go all the way back to her apartment without sacrificing the other appointment wither her other client that day. - Carlee got into some traffic delays on her drive to you and notified you at 9:17am that she would probably be a little late. Carlee arrived at 10:13am, 13 minutes late. You sent her a text at 10:04 saying you were 15 minutes away however, you weren't there until approximately 10:50am. - Other than Carlee hitting traffic on her 2 hour drive to your house all of these logistical issues where a result of your own cancellations and/or you being late to your own house. Once again, all of this is documented in your text feed with her. In addition to all of these scheduling issues, the fact that you proceeded to yell at Carlee is where I absolutely draw the line. She was shaking and anxious and trying her best to keep her composure. This impacted her appointment following yours that day. And she even had the patience to finish the job while you were constantly moving and yelling at her.. Also, to respond to your claim that " 4 of my dread broke in half during my 2 years with her" - Carlee informed me that you've been working on your own dreadlocks prior and during her time serving you. And the way you were "maintaining" your dreadlocks was by tying your dreadlock in knots, which we absolutely discourage. Early on Carlee advised you not to do your own maintenance because you were breaking your own dreadlocks by doing so. And you still went against that advice and proceeded to do your own maintenance anyways. Therefore we cannot take responsibility for your dreadlocks breaking off when you're maintaining them in a way that we advise against. And with all of that being said, that's exactly why I declined you from being served again. I refuse to allow Carlee or anyone else on my team to be treated like this. This type of behavior and ongoing logistical issues drain us of our time, energy, and attention that we could otherwise give to our responsible and considerate clients. - ColbyPosted on Google

Lisha TDecember 31, 2020Sooooo I was in DESPERATE search of loc repair for thinning locs due to postpartum shedding around my temple. I stumbled across this sight after finding no PROFESSIONAL (anotherStory) stylist who can do crochet loc repair. Although convenient, I was extremely hesitant having a stranger come in to my home for services. HOWEVER, when I say Natallia was so warm, kind, & PROFESSIONAL. I was definitely pleased and impressed. I’m SOOOOOO happy with the final product. My locs are no longer thin at the root around my 1st 2-3 rows. I feel confident and happy with my hair. I can put it up and style it without fear of loosing my hair and pushing back my hairline. Forgot the gram... COME HERE.... CALL HERE..... use this business because in MY OPINION you will not be disappointed. (on a side note I had locs for 9 years and this is year 3 of my second set) didn’t realize how badly I needed this overall for the loose new growth as well. For sure 5 stars... 5 thumbs up and allll that!!!!! Thank you’!!!!!

Kathryn BNovember 1, 2020Natalia was great! She made me feel super comfortable, and was great with my dog. This was my first installation, and with my hair type I was a little nervous how they would turn out, but I couldn’t be happier. I decided I'm going to add length with extensions, and will definitely be using Natalia for that as well. It was a 10 hour session and we had some great conversations, so it didn’t feel like that long. She’s very knowledgeable and answered every question I had.

Cat PAugust 19, 2020Natalia did an amazing job on my dreads! I came in for maintenance and she ended up transforming my whole head. And we had a great time to boot! Spent the first hour chatting away and then we watched some Netflix. She was very professional, very friendly, knowledgeable, and did a phenomenal job! I admit that I was a little leery about using this service because I wanted to be sure that there wasn’t going to be any damage done to my dreads. I read up about Dreadlock Central’s methods and thought I’d give them a try. I am over the moon satisfied with the work Carlee did on my dreads today. She was on time and her time estimate for the work was right on! The work is tidy, clean, and super efficient! I am totally a faithful client now and will highly recommend Dreadlock Central and Carlee to all my local dreadlocked friends!!

Erika WJuly 28, 2020I believe that Natille is not professional or properly trained to do professional dreadlocks. Natille does not know what she is doing. She made humongous parts in the front of my hair! When I ask her to take them out and redo the front immediately, she only implied that she would do one. A professional shop or stylist would not do this! Also she damage a chair at my home in which she did my hair! People if want it done right take the time to get it done right!!! Lesson learn for me again! I got the money now I have to wait six months again for my hair to grow back. I have been referred to the Loc King . Yes, he does have a shop!

Hey Erika, I'm sorry that you're unsatisfied with the outcome of your appointment. After reviewing your form submission you stated 60 dreadlocks upon requesting our services. This is a standard question in our Intake Form that we've been asking every single client for years (however we're currently changing this section and relying more on photos rather than a specific numbers to avoid situations like this in the future, though this is the first issue we've had like this). You claimed that we recommended 60, which is not the case, you were merely quoted for the 60 that you originally requested. Also when you placed your online order for extensions you selected the option of "7-8 mm (order 80-90 for full head)" - we explicitly state in the purchase options that 80-90 count is for a full head, this is listed right on the selection, but you still placed your order for 60 without asking us about it. On June 30th you received your extensions, and we were texting back and forth. You had the extensions in your possession for exactly 20 days before your appointment. You physically had the extensions understanding the size and amount. Therefore, you had 20 days to change your mind or ask questions leading up to your appointment. The last time I talked to you after receiving your extensions you were nothing but thrilled, so as far as I could tell there were absolutely no problems and everything was on track. Then during your installation, Natallia took the time to show you the sections she created before she made them into dreadlocks. She asked you to look in the mirror to double check and you were happy with everything. She then hesitated, and explained that one section in particular was a little too big, she recommended re-sectioning the front and had you look in the mirror again, but once again you said you liked how it looked and that she should continue. So she did. Your sectioning will have to be a bit on the larger side when installing 60 extensions in Afro hair. Any salon would create the same size sections to achieve 60 dreadlocks in total. There's no way around that without having a larger amount of extensions available. I was also informed that you lost one of the extensions as well, which further adds to the large sectioning. Therefore Natallia did her best to install your 59 sections and extensions. When the appointment was done you were very happy with the results, but later you changed your mind. After your appointment you said you wanted dreadlocks the size of Natallia's which are around 120+ dreadlocks. This was AFTER all the work had already been done. Natallia offered to resection your parts at a discount. But instead of working with us we were met with nothing but hostility.. When a client is dissatisfied we always strive to reach a mutual agreement between our team and our clients to come to a positive outcome. We offered to change the front sections but you declined, so instead of working with us you decide to blame us when you changed your mind AFTER we confirmed that you were happy with the sectioning and all the work had already been done. All of these points were explained in the response to the last review you posted. Ultimately, I'm sorry for any assumptions, confusion or miscommunication that resulted in this outcome. It seems like you simply needed a larger number of extensions, and we wouldn't be having this issue at all. But at the end of the day, we did everything according to your request, double and triple checked that you were happy every step of the way, and ultimately you're the one that changed your mind after all the work was done. I'm sorry that it has come to this. We're willing to work with you on a solution if you're willing to work with us, but if not, we're sorry to see you go.Posted on Google

Strange MJune 20, 2020It has been almost 72 hours since Natallia installed my likes and I haven’t stopped smiling. She is highly professional yet warm. She patiently answered all of my questions and made helpful suggestions about hair care. My resulting locs were better than the style that I requested and I will continue to be a Dreadlock Central customer for the rest of my loc journey. I can not give her services a high recommendation. Additionally, Colby was quick to help provide the hair that I needed on short notice and with great quality. I would give six stars but I’m currently limited to five.

She was available quicker than I thought to schedule, very easy to text back and forth with (texting is easier for me). The second appointment was today, I loved my half head of dreads so much I had her come back ASAP to do the rest! Erick PJune 6, 2020I had a great experience with Natallia. We originally set up an appointment for May but had to delay it due to Covid. Natallia was very understanding and we rescheduled my appointment for early June. My loc install took 2 days during which Natallia worked diligently. Natallia is a champ, standing on her feet from about 9 am - 7 pm working on my hair both days. We took a few small breaks to stretch but Natallia got back work quickly. We watched a lot of movies and Netflix to help the time pass. Now, on the important things: the hair! I’m very happy with the results! I lost more length than I expected, but I instantly loved the look I ended up with! I’m very satisfied with the quality of work. Natallia is a pleasure to work with and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a professional loctician. Natallia answered all my questions and provided good information regarding maintenance. Chelsea FDecember 16, 2019Dreadlock Central has been a life saver for my locs. I came to Hampton Roads as a travel nurse and decided to relocate permanently, leaving my loctician in New York. After months of searching for someone to work on Caucasian hair in desperate need of maintenance, I found dreadlock central. AvacadoNovember 12, 2019I went through a mid-life crisis I guess at 48 and chopped my locks that I had been growing since 1993 and once in a while shaping to varying looks over the years. I then went really short on a family trip away with the aid of my very talented 10 year old and had a cute little pixie cut. It was cute until it started growing out and I refused to wear a cap at night. It then became an upsetting nightmare every morning with the maintenance of it all. I had heard that one could crotchet locks back in so I went about the venture of gathering my locks and finding someone to put them back together (which was very costly and apparently not really accomplished - but I digress) and then asked a lovely young hairdresser that I knew, that used to braid one of my daughters' hair when she was so much younger, if she could complete the task. She maintained dreads and I said that she could. Sadly she could not. I spent a day with her in her dark studio dealing with multiple phone calls with contractors and insurance companies as our basement had recently flooded and after much time spent, I looked up at a mirror quickly to my old self and my heart swole. I paid her, thanked her and dashed home to pick up my middle daughter to get her to soccer practice, my niece and I went food shopping in between and after practice we dashed home to cook. I was so tired I fell to sleep on the sofa. My three daughters were thrilled to see mum back. My hubby when he saw me said I got my wife back. The next morning upon awakening- I finally went to the big mirror. It looked great-that is from the front view. Upon touching and inspection it was another nightmare. The locks were not crotcheted in at all. They were looped and a complete mess. First I raged in my head. How could I have been so distracted not to notice. How did I not check! How could she have not showed me. I mean I did check periodically but I had no idea, I was too distracted. Three girls, soccer, a niece visiting from London and a flooded basement. It was all too much. I then decided to buckle up and look for solutions and I started my on-line search and happened upon Dreadlock Central. There was this white boy (Colby) with the most beautiful dreads and the most amazing reviews. I’m West Indian - I grew up in the midst of Rastafari and though I had met white rastas (not that Cole is a rasta-it's just that the very few whites I knew with dreads-were rastas), they were few and far between. And while I wondered how this guy could have such a talent in the understanding and maintenance of dreadlocks, I was convinced that he would be my saving grace and so the adventure of booking someone from his shop began. Conversations were had with three locticians. Cole was amazing from her first words and though she didn't have the availability she was understanding and took the time to just talk to me about solutions. She then sent me onto Carlee, who was just the same, but again had no availability and so she sent me onto Rick. He was willing to help as he had the availability, but he was far. Though I was willing to drive, he reached out to Colby and explained my situation and before I knew it, he had linked us. Colby was going to be in the area in a few weeks--perfect timing and was able to fit me in and in less than a couple of weeks, he was sitting in my house fixing my nightmare and restoring my faith in humanity. He’s amazing. He saved me. He undid every messy attachment and redid it flawlessly. It was a bit surreal and it took half a day, but it was worth every moment. And so he has my greatest thanks for knowing his trade and doing it very well. Some of the dreads have thinned a bit and I have looped them to save them from detaching, but that’s related to the creation of them and not the reattachment thereof. So all I can really say is Thank you Colby! You are amazing. Keep doing what you’re doing. 🌈💕

Y AMay 4, 2019Cole did my hair and she was a champ she got right to work as soon as she arrived. my hair was combed out the night before but it’s so thick you wouldn’t be able to tell, and she was so gentle when sectioning and combing my hair, didn’t make me feel uncomfortable at all that some of my hair was basically a nest. she had great conversation easy going and was very patient, with my 4 yr old and 2 yr old that are attached to my hip, and my 1 yr old nephew that was fascinated with her. Thank you so much you did a great job. I love the final product. I was really worried about having my hair stick up all awkward. she knew that so she did her best to loc my hair just right so the roots weren’t going to be as awkward. So happy I found the company and again Cole did my hair. Update: May 4. I know that theres a technician for an area and they serve and cole covers a really big part. When I first got my hair done I thought it was a really good investment into bettering myself and my quality of living. As a veteran and a mother of two I didn’t come out the army the same woman I went in doing normal maintenance in my hair became a struggle. I thought dreadlocking my hair would give me back just a portion of the independence I crave. But after just a couple days my hair started coming undone. Lot of loops and swirls and frizz. I contacted Cole about my concern and I was assured it was normal it would be okay. Now not even two months later three whole dreads basically came undone and started to matte with the rest of the dreads washing palm rolling became more and more difficult. I contacted Cole again about finding a sooner appointment and to no avail now my appointment just a couple weeks away I’ve began to take them out. I understand it was 10hrs of standing on her feet so a part of me understands but I would’ve much rather cut the sessions in half if it meant a better finish. It wasn’t easy finding the 500 dollars it took to do my hair and now in combing my hair out I can see the difference in some of the effort in the dreadlocks some were super tight thick and well locd and others it took just a few passing with a comb to undue. I put this up with a really heavy heart because this is basically the only online service you find for this area to do dreadlocks on other types of hair (Hispanic) without the use of products. But they need more technicians and a better response method to concerns and questions. Id text at a reasonable time of day 10am just to receive a response at 10pm or days later.

I'm sorry to hear about your disappointment with your dreadlocks. After all of the clients we've served you're only the second one to give us any feedback about your dreadlocks becoming loose. The other occurrence was mostly due to the client using products that we highly recommended avoiding in the first place. So I'm curious about your wash routine, shampoo, and potentially other products you may have used after your installation because that's usually the biggest reason for dreadlocks to loosen that were installed by us. In addition to your wash routine, sometimes we misjudge the amount of work involved in an installation with extremely thick hair. It sounds like you may have been under-quoted for the amount of time needed to do a very in-depth and thorough job and Cole got pressed for time. Unfortunately, this happens sometimes with extremely thick hair and when we're already booked solid it puts us in a situation where we have to make the judgement call to speed up the process and get the job done. I'm no trying to make excuses or justify the results, but this is the reality of what we deal with and we try to manage it the best we can while keeping our pricing within reason. Also, to address your concern about getting replies later in the day, or the following day - we have been extremely busy the past few months and it's been incredibly difficult to keep up with the demand for our work. At the time of writing this reply - all three of us are booked 2-3 month out. And we also do not communicate with other clients while in the middle of an appointment because we strive to give you a personalized one-on-one experience. In addition to that we also drive to our clients reducing our time to reply and we try to have personal lives too.. We are always struggling to keep up with communication however it's becoming increasingly difficult as the demand grows.. We're about to start training two new people to help fill the demand and serve our clients better and we're currently seeking even more trainees to join our team. Once again, I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Personally, I was not aware of this situation and if I had known I personally would've offered to get your dreadlocks fixed up at a discount or possibly even for free depending on the reason why they loosened up. I spoke with Cole to clear this up and prevent this type of situation from happening in the future and we also agreed to give you a partial refund. Tony RJanuary 15, 2019Carlee came all the way out the VA Beach and got my hair perfect. I went to 2 different stylists before her and it just didnt work. I have straight, like straight as an arrow, hair and the other stylists used methods that work better on coarse/curly hair. Pricing was very fair and the quality is perfect. My locs look exactly how i pictured them, clean, uniform and tight. Not bad for 2 month old locs. Just check out their pics and youll see exactly what im talking about.

She was also very kind as well. Best part is that this all can be done in the comfort of your own home! They have mobile service.

Gabriella AJanuary 12, 2019Nicole came to my house at 11:30 am, was prompt if not early, and friendly from the beginning. We watched Ghost Adventures the entire day. She worked with diligence and skill and I felt very safe putting my hair in her hands as I endeavored to have a head of dreadlocks for the first time. She understood my visual wishes (tapered ends, less scalp visibility but managed to give me tight roots even so). It was a mostly painless process and was very relaxing. We had some good conversations while creating my dreadlocks which I truly appreciated. On completion I had 54 brand new, perfectly formed dreadlocks. I will absolutely be reaching out to her when I need maintenance or work on my locs. Dreadlock Central is a wonderful service, I love that they travel to the client when able. I highly recommend their services if you want to have perfect locs!

Lauren BDecember 3, 2018I started my dreads on my own and Colby and Cole transformed them into looking mature and professional. I found them on Instagram and was amazed at how efficient their booking process was, and how well they managed my unique situation of physical disability. When they came to my home they not only brought their expertise, but also good vibes and great stories, along with some wicked juggling skills. All-around great company made up of people who not only care about hair, but also the person underneath it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 🤗

The professionalism was amazing. He was very informative before during and after and my full installation and my hair looks gorgeous!!! I have seen some beautiful work from Colby... He's a wizard!!!! G JJuly 14, 2018Admittedly, I had high expectations and yet they were exceeded by the knowledge, skill, and professionalism of Colby. :) He worked with me to find a time and location that fit into both our schedules, and he took the time to address all of my questions and concerns (because I was worried about having my hair dreaded poorly and then not being able to fix it without shaving it all off!). But Colby was great, and I am thrilled with the results. :) It’s only been about one month so far, but I couldn’t be happier with my (baby) dreads, and I look forward to watching them grow/mature!☺️ Thank you!!

Hal XMay 19, 2018Dreadlock Central brings very detailed information on locs. I recently got starter locs at the salon. The salon told me for my next appointment that I must receive a curling treatment, which I was skeptical of. I made an appointment with Colby and after he completed my locs, I was convinced that salons have no idea that they're lacking information. I thought my journey began at the salon, but figured out a month later that it began with Dreadlock Central. My Spanish hair is locking quite well. I recommend to the fullest.

Ju DOctober 26, 2017Highly Highly Recommend to people with dreadlocks from different ethnic backgrounds. He was able to maintenance my Asian hair (coarse and straight) with no problems and in no time. I have 29 locks and he did a very professional job cleaning them up. Colby is very knowledgeable in different hair types to assist you with your dreads. Will def make another appointment when Dreadlock Central is in my area again.

Roger LSeptember 25, 2017I reached out to Dreadlock Central to have my dreadlocks reinstalled after cutting them off for a job(NEVER CHANGE WHO YOU ARE FOR A JOB)! I couldn't be more pleased, Colby has himself a great organization here. He linked me up with Carlee, who did a phenomenal job. I now have my hair back! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for re-installation or touch up.

Adam BSeptember 9, 2017My first experience with getting some dread maintenance was absolutely horrendous.. It was becoming more of a reality to get rid of my locs if I couldn't find anybody to properly take care of them to my liking.. Through searching for a caretaker I came upon Colby and decided to make the 3 hour journey to him to see what he can do.. (His credentials and before and after pictures were the basis of my decision) My first meeting with him was June 3 2016 and I was blown away by his mastery of the craft.. I have seen him a total of 5 times now and am more than estatic with his expertise and professionalism.. I highly recommend him to anybody that wants their dreads worked on correctly and in a timely matter to give home a call or message!!

Alex HSeptember 5, 2017I've never been to comfortable with someone helping me with my locks. However, Colby is a true artist with the passion that is unlimited. Not only will you have your locks fixed beyond belief but you get to meet an amazing person an good friend. The first meeting I had a giant Congo lock that no one would touch. Colby helped me realize its never too late an solved my issue I thought I'd have forever. I highly recommend Colby or anyone who apprentices under him. You will not be disappointed. Much love man!

💵 Down Payment
– A non-refundable down payment is required for every single appointment. No exceptions.
– Most down payments start at $50 but may range much higher depending on the amount of time we have to reserve for your appointment.
– This amount contributes toward your total bill and is not an extra expense.
– Appointments are NOT confirmed until down payment is received.
– Down payments are required a minimum of 3 days before your appointment.
📅 Scheduling In Advance
We do not book “same day appointments” – therefore appointments must be set in advance. If you contact us with the expectation of a same day or last minute booking we will likely decline your request and book you for a later date.
⏰ Late Policy
– If you are more than 20 minutes late, your appointment may need to be rescheduled out of respect for the next client and the person who booked you.
– In some cases we can accommodate late appointments, but it should not be expected.
– In the event of a reschedule you will forfeit the down payment for that appointment, and a new down payment will be required to book your next appointment.
🚫 Repeated No-Show Policy
If you miss your appointment twice, or are excessively late twice, we reserve the right to increase your down payment requirements or outright refuse booking future appointments with you.
